Green Smoothie Stat!

Banana, pineapple, spinach, and Greek yogurt is a great combination for a healthy & easy to make Green Smoothie.

At times it can be difficult to consume all your daily recommended servings of fruits and vegetables. Making a nutritious & delicious smoothie can help ensure that you can accomplish that goal without a lot of thought. Kids enjoy it to!

When adding greens like kale or spinach to your smoothie, it’s a sneaky yet effective way to make sure your kids are getting their recommended daily allowance to help make their bones strong and start their day with lots of energy!

By simply adding plain Greek yogurt to the smoothie helps boosts the protein level, making it a quick and substantial meal replacement for you and your kids any time of the day. You can experiment with all different sorts of healthy fruits & vegetables to mix it up depending on what yours or your kids preferences are. Be sure not to forget the yogurt so that you are including protein in that meal.

Banana, pineapple, spinach, and Greek yogurt is a great combination for a healthy & easy to make Green Smoothie.

  • Blender
  • 1 ripe banana (medium)
  • 1 cup pineapple(fresh, canned, or frozen)
  • 3 handfuls freshly chopped spinach (washed)
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (plain)
  • 6 oz. water
  1. 1. Mix together the following ingredients: Put the banana, pineapple, spinach, Greek yogurt, and water in a blender. Blend until completely smooth. For some added texture, blend until you see some small chunky pieces of fruit left and enjoy!

Fun note: If you like your smoothies a bit sweeter, use canned pineapple and add some of the juice! Another great tip; Adding a chopped date (minus the pit) makes for a healthy and delicious way to add some sweetness to your smoothie!
